Our Values
We are a Christian aid organization committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. ARK AID endeavors to present a clear message of God's love and our need to respond to that love. We are committed to being led by the Holy Spirit. Prayer and dependence on God's guidance are essential to all ARK AID projects We are committed to working with and through the Body of Christ. We believe the Church is God's chosen vehicle to minister to the world.
We are committed to relationships. Relationships with our partners, supporters, and colleagues will affirm the equal worth of each individual made in God's image, showing compassion and integrity in our dealings with others. Our team can't succeed with individual accomplishments. Only in community, recognizing that each member plays a crucial role in finishing any task with excellence, can our organization be called healthy. This value should always result in disciples who make disciples whether inter organizationally or with our peers and the household of faith.
We are committed to the whole person. Care will be taken that aid is provided for abused, oppressed, and impoverished people in the context of their family, community and environment, with a concern for their spiritual, physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Demonstrating God's love includes a practical response to a persons suffering. This love will be administered regardless of a person's race, gender, or religion.
We are committed to excellence and will provide our partners, supporters and colleagues with an excellent quality of service in a professional manner. We will pursue improvement in all that we do by encouraging creativity and innovation. We are accountable to God for the use of our time and resources. We are accountable to our partners, sending churches, board of directors, and supporters; being honest, trustworthy, and transparent in all we do. We are dedicated to making what we do consistent with what we say.
Our Creed
Together we accept the revelation of the triune God given in the Bible and confess the historic faith of the gospel it contains. The following doctrines are regarded as crucial to the understanding of our faith, and should result in mutual love, practical Christian service and evangelistic concern.
- The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgement.
- The divine inspiration of the Holy Scripture and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man, making him subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
- The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin, and from its eternal consequences.
- The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
- The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
- The priesthood of all believers, who form the universal church, the body of Christ, which is committed by his command to the proclamation of the gospel throughout the world.
- The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, in power and glory
